My review of Celeste and Jesse Forever.
This one’s complicated, because I feel like it’s a decent movie that struggles to define itself. There are great performances, but a story that never manages to be more than middling. Still worth your time just from an actor chemistry standpoint, but you can find more details in the above review.
Jones and Samberg make this film likable with their undeniable chemistry that shows in all frames and it’s heartbreaking to watch sometimes. Not the best rom-com of the year, but still a very smart and intelligent one that feels heartfelt. Good review Matthew.
